Product Description
The TNTE XM177/GAU-5 Flash Hider & Grenade Ring is reproduction piece for your Retro carbine build. This flash hider has wrench flats, as well as tapered flash hider cuts and grenade ring. The bore of the flash hider has a open bore. The rear is chamfered to align the crush washer or shims (not included). The XM177 Flash Hider fits 1/2-28 threads and are machined from 4140 heat treated steel plus it has a durable phosphate finish. Flash Hider overall length is 4.3". Weight is 6.6 oz.
The shortest length barrel you can use with these and be legal for OAL is 12.5". Anything shorter after pin and weld will be an SBR. To correctly measure OAL you must insert a rod down the bore until it makes contact with the bolt face. DOES NOT INCLUDE A CRUSH WASHER.

XM-177 4.3" Flash Hider
These are really nice 1 piece Flash Hiders. I bought Both these 4.3" and the 5.5" versions. I'm still undecided which ones I like best at this point because they Both look nice on my 11.5" SBR's. No regrets at all with either one.
